The term ‘ScanTherm Surveys’ or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to the owner of the website Somerhill Consulting Services Ltd whose registered office is 72 Commercial Road, Paddock Wood, TN12 6DP. Our company registration number is 6355507 registered in England and Wales. The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.

• The content of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.
• We have audited our website (last 09/06/2015)  and this website does use cookies to track site visitors such as those provided by Google Analytics. If you do allow cookies to be used, no personal information will be stored by us for use by third parties.

Terms and Conditions

Our Terms and Conditions for sales of thermographic surveys can be obtained on demand. They are summarised below.

1. General
a. These Conditions shall apply to all work undertaken by ScanTherm Surveys (SS). No additions or variations shall apply unless agreed in writing.
2. Quotations and Charges
a. All Fees and Charges shall be in accordance with the quotation provided by SS.
b. Quotations shall be valid for a period of 30 days, unless otherwise agreed.
3. Surveys
a. The Client shall be responsible for ensuring that SS has the correct permission to be on site to complete all necessary testing/inspections.
4. Postponement/Cancellation Policy
a. A Target Date will be agreed in advance as required. Cancellation at Client request within 2 weeks of Target Date will result in a Fee of 50% of the Fee. Cancellation at Client request within 1 week of Target Date will result in a Fee of 100% of the Fee.
b. Many of our Tests are extremely weather dependent and limited opportunities exist to conduct this type of survey. Once a Test Date is confirmed the following terms apply:
i. If Postponement is requested by SS due to changing weather forecasts creating a risk of lack of compliance with required test standards and norms, this will not incur any Fee or damages to either party.
ii. If Postponement within 5 days of the agreed Test Date at the Client request as a result of an incomplete building or lack of access or for any other reason, 50% of the applicable Test Fee is chargeable and a Retest will not be scheduled until this Fee is received unless otherwise agreed.
iii. If Postponement within 24 hours of the agreed Test Date at the Client request as a result of an incomplete building or lack of access or for any other reason, 100% of the applicable Test Fee is chargeable and a Retest will not be scheduled until this Fee is received, unless otherwise agreed.
5. Limitations of Liability
a. SS shall exercise due care, reasonable skill and diligence in order to complete all work, producing reports and providing guidance. However, SS shall not be liable for any loss of earnings or damage, whether direct or indirect, arising from the use of reports, certificates, information or advice issued by SS.
6. Payment
a. SS invoice will be issued dated with the survey Test Date.
b. Payment is due on receipt of Invoice unless otherwise agreed.
c. Final report and copy of any certificates required will not be issued by SS until full payment of the Fee has cleared.
